10.2.9 Net
The net command makes it possible to draw connections in the schematic editor. Its only required arguments are the two points to be connected. For example, the following command draws a net from (0, 0) to (1, 1).
net (0 0) (1 1)
It’s important to understand that net accepts points (grid locations) instead of pin names. This means that, to connect two pins, you need to know where the pins’ connection points are located. This information can’t be obtained using editor commands, but it can be obtained using the User Language, which will be introduced in Chapter 11, “Introduction to the User Language (UL).”
If net is followed by a name, the name will be assigned to the net’s signal. Remember that EAGLE treats all nets with the same signal name as being electrically connected. The following command assigns the name RESET to the net between (0.75, 1.25) and (2.5, 3.5).

net RESET (0.75 1.25) (2.5 3.5)
If the name is preceded by !, EAGLE will place a line over the net’s name, indicating that it’s active-low. A net’s properties can be further configured in three ways:
• If net is followed by net_wire_width and a value, EAGLE creates the net with the desired width.
• If net is followed by auto_end_net_off, EAGLE doesn’t assume the net ends at another net, pin, or bus wire.
• If net is followed by auto_junction_off, EAGLE doesn’t assume a junction should be created where the net ends at another net, pin, or bus wire.
